Meiklebob Holiday Cottages are a unique development of 10 wonderful cottages, situated amidst a working farm. 5 cottages sleeping up to 4 persons, 4 cottages sleeping up to 6 persons and once cottage sleeping up to 10 persons. All converted from redundant farm buildings. Situated near the town of Dalbeattie and close to the yachting village of Kippford we are surrounded by stunning scenery all around, from amazing views of the Solway, to inspiring views of Dalbeattie Forest. We are very priviledged to be located in such an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Our location is truly special and offers a natural retreat that is unspoilt and quite unique.

Have a browse at our cottages, we have something to suit everyone, from a small getaway for two people to a group gathering of up to fifty four persons, we have something for everyone.

Sleeping up to 10 persons, the Suffolk cottage is the largest of our properties.

If you’re walking around at dusk, you may see the Badgers frolicking around in the fields. Broc (The Scottish name for Badger) Cottage is named after our friends who live on the farm, we liked them so much that we too have black and white stripes in the Wet Room.

Named after the beautiful birds that choose to visit our farm every year. The Two storey, three bedroomed cottage, has its own outdoor hot tub in an enclosed garden and patio area, perfect for enjoying a Barbeque.

Shetland cottage aptly named after our friendly Miniature Shetland Ponies , that share the farm with us. Always on hand to give a friendly welcome, and accept the odd carrot or two from our guests.

Threave cottage is named after a Historic Estate in the nearby town of Castle Douglas, about 5 miles away. You can be rowed across the loch to visit the historic ruined castle.

Angus Cottage is named after the famous breed of cattle that we have on our farm Aberdeen Angus. The single storey, two bedroomed cottage, with ramped access, converted from the old cattle barns, and has its own outdoor hot tub in an enclosed garden and patio area.

Sweetheart cottage is named after the local Ruined Sweetheart Abbey, in the village of New Abbey, (7 miles away). With the legends telling stories how the original abbey was built to house the heart of a dead lover.
